You know I saw this happen in Indianapolis, people kept moving farther and farther. Then the downtown rebirth began and Indy gained about 60, people downtown in 5 years, all white all upper class. Private and key schools the one thing hoilding back the march downtown for families is here so their kids do not have to be subjected to "public schools". The Near burbs, lawrence and Speedway now look like the inner core did but crime and the poor are moving farther into suburbia.
People are Nomadic. Fleeing towards what they percieve as "safety". Cincinnati will eventualy come full circle, and it will start over gain. But, for the moment, I have my diverse neighborhood. In 10 years those same people will be commenting on how "unsafe" Harrison it and people should live downtown. Unfortunately I will probably have to find a new neighorhood as a despise "suburbia" which unfortunately will return to the Urban core.. Those darn urban pioneers, blazing trails for white flight into our central cities.
